Since 1829, we have been producing salt from the seawater of the Seto Inland Sea.
About the museum
This is a representative residence in Setouchi built by Buzaemon Nozaki, a founder who has made a fortune in the salt industry and rice field development since the late Edo period.
It has been designated as a national important cultural property as a residence of a wealthy merchant with a magnificent scale.
As a registered museum, the museum also strives to preserve and utilize cultural properties.
